The new B4FL MHPZ was designed and developed for fretless bass players who need to get a more “acoustic” bass sound to go along with a great fretless electric bass sound and feel. Get the best of both worlds in one versatile instrument that provides a multitude of excellent sounds and superb playability.

Blackwood Top on Mahogany Body with F Hole.
The Blackwood top on chambered Mahogany body with the F-hole exudes a classy look while delivering a deep, organic and punchy low-end sound.

Jatoba Fingerboad (lined fretless).
Super-smooth neck made of yatoba wood without metal frets. Black fret markers will be appreciated by both beginners and experienced musicians.

Bartolini MK-1 Pickups.
The trademark Bartolini sound is preserved in the MK-1 while providing superb sound quality and value. The MK-1 delivers plenty of punchy and warm mids along with transparent and brilliant highs for a superbly balanced sound.

Hipshot Ultralite Tuners.
The B4FL-MHPZ guitar is equipped with Hipshot Ultralite (classic 1:20 gear ratio), made of zinc alloy with aluminum shafts, resulting in 30% weight reduction over other regular tuners and which results in improved balance and tuning accuracy.

Thumb Rest.
The thumb rest has been carefully placed on the body surface to allow the bassist to easily employ the right-hand finger-picking techniques.

Fishman Powerbridge.
The piezo pickups of the Fishman Powerbridge bridge provide a very natural acoustic bass tone that can be used alone or in conjunction with the passive electric bass pickup.

2 volumes and 2 tone control.
The two volume and two tone controls facilitates individual and independent use of the traditional electric bass pickup and piezo pickup sounds or for a blend of the two to the player’s taste for exceptional tonal versatility.
