Mazurkas by Fryderyk Chopin (1810–1849) are published under the editorship of his student and assistant Karol Mikuly (1821–1897).
In his work, completed in 1879, Mikuli relied on unique materials: first of all, on authentic autographs, as well as on a lifetime Parisian edition of Chopin's piano works with author's notes, according to which the composer studied with his students.
In addition, for the first time in Russia, this collection includes Chopin's mazurkas, which were not published during his lifetime.
