Meinel

Since 1914, Meinel has been producing recorders. A small family business is located in Erlbach in the German federal state of Saxony, and mainly produces inexpensive but still high-quality instruments designed for schoolchildren and amateur musicians. All Meinel recorders are handmade from well-dried and properly prepared maple wood. Particular attention is paid to the response of the instrument and the accuracy of its tune.
Under the Meinel brand, soprano, alto and tenor recorder are released in both German and Baroque systems. The tenor and alto instruments are equipped with single or double key. Most models are presented in two colors: natural and with brown.
Since 2007, the company's product range has been expanded with wood whistles, lotus flutes  and effect whistles.
