Since 2004, meteor-drummer Benny Greb has been part of the Sonor family. Benny himself says :" For me, as a musician, this is an opportunity to embrace both tradition and innovation, and the guys at Sonor are doing the same. Benny's playing can be heard with a variety of musicians, because his taste and style are very much in demand. They play rock with Stoppok and The Ron Spielman Trio, and jazz as part of the Benny Greb Brass Band.

At the beginning of 2010, Sonor and Benny began developing a signature snare drum, universal as the Rowing itself. The drum shell is made of beech, which gives the sound transparency, warmth and a wide range of settings. A beautiful outer layer of Scandinavian birch gives the drum a classic look that does not become obsolete. But Benny wouldn't be Benny if he didn't add something special: Greb's personal badge and a black stripe of synthetic material are emblazoned on the shell.
