From the author
It is no secret that musical dictation is one of the most difficult forms of work in a solfeggio lesson; for children with not so pronounced musical abilities, it sometimes becomes a serious problem. Teachers, systematically working on the development of musical ear, musical memory and analytical abilities of children, use a variety of methodological tools to make recording a dictation feasible for every student. Along with the classical dictation, alternative forms are widely used: recording a previously learned melody from memory, fragmentary dictation, dictation with errors, etc. Among the various types of dictation, rhythmic dictation occupies an important place.
"Rhythmic dictations in different genres" is addressed to teachers of children's music schools and children's art schools. Together with the collection of exercises "Rhythmic Etudes" they are included in the educational and methodological set "Rhythm from "A" to "Z". The collections are based on the idea of studying specific rhythmic formulas on the material of musical genres in which these formulas are most often found. "Rhythmic dictations in different genres" is the final link in the complex of exercises aimed at mastering rhythmic patterns through the genre.
