A special sponge holds water up to 12 times its weight (much more than a regular sponge), which allows you to increase the time between filling the humidifier and strengthen protection against drying out in drier conditions. The humidifier prevents the appearance of cracks, curvature of the neck and compression of the wood of the instrument. Suspended on the strings, the humidifier evenly releases moisture inside the guitar body, but does not touch the instrument itself. Maintaining of the humidifier is reduced to soaking the sponge when it becomes dry.
