Sound.
The sound spectrum of ProLite drums is based on an extremely thin Vintage Maple shell with amplifying rings, providing an easily recognizable open sound with a very wide tuning range. Vintage Maple shells are characterized by a soft, warm sound that emphasizes the lower frequencies and provides a balance of upper and middle frequencies without losing sonority and power.

Shell Construction.
The shells are manufactured with use of the Cross Laminated Tension Free Process — (CLTF) - cross plywood without tension. As a result of many years of research by the masters of Sonor, CLTF technology provides excellent stability, extended resonance and bright sound.
The Optimum Shell Measurement (OSM) shell thickness measurement system allows you to optimize the contact of plastic with the edge of the drum, thereby achieving excellent sound, improved sustain and controlled attenuation.

12 layers of wood for bass drums = 6mm + 2mm of the Dynamic Edge reinforcement ring along the edge.
