Description:

002857 MKH 20-P48 Condenser Microphone, Instrumental, Sennheiser

The MKH 20-P48 is usually used as a main microphone for orchestras and solo instruments, and picks up the natural acoustics of the room, though it does have a much wider range of applications as omnidirectional microphones do not suffer from ‘proximity effect’. The sensitivity and SPL response makes it a favorite as a main microphone for capturing orchestras and solo instruments. Exceptionally flat frequency response, switchable for near and diffuse field applications. An attenuator switch allows an additional 10 dB of headroom when using in close proximity to signals high in transients.

Exceptionally flat frequency response, switchable for near and diffuse field applications.
Raising the frequency response in the HF region.
Slightly increasing directivity at high frequencies to adjust tonal balance.
Transformerless and fully floating balanced output.
Switchable pre-attenuation -10dB.
Exceptionally low inherent self-noise.
Lightweight and durable black body.
