The MKH 70 is a lightweight long gun microphone. Its excellent directivity is particularly suited to applications undertaken in difficult conditions, such as high background noise and distance microphone positioning. Its frequency-independent directivity prevents sound colouration from off-axis sound sources. MKN 70 has the highest sensitivity and has switchable filters to compensate for high-pass attenuation at a distance and a low-pass boost filter when approaching the sound source. An attenuator switch allows an additional 10 dB of headroom when using in close proximity to signals high in transients.
