The Concerto in D Major by J. S. Bach for Harpsichord and Orchestra is the author's transcription of the Violin Concerto in E Major.
This transcription of the Concerto for Two Pianos is based on the text of the academic edition of the Bach Society (volume XVII), in the orchestral voices of the score of which there are detailed author's dynamic and phrasing indications, while the harpsichord part is devoid of them. In the Piano I part, they are introduced by the editor in many cases in accordance with the score. The fingering and deciphering of the decorations are also the property of the editor.
