The piano cycle and fairy tale “Journey to the Land of Animals” were written by A. Vershinin, pianist, composer, professor at the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky.
The cycle consists of fourteen piano pieces illustrating the adventures of the boy Mitya in the fictional land of animals, each with its own character and talents.
This music material contributes to the development of solo and ensemble playing skills within the framework of the curriculum and the development of imaginative thinking in young musicians. The tale can be performed in its entirety by several students at school concerts or staged as a small play.
