979-0-66000-741-9 Musical Tiny Pearls. Volume 6. Marches and pieces in the dance genre. Senior classes of children's music schools and children's art schools, Compozitor Publishing House Saint-Petersburg

The 6th volume of "Musical Pearls" includes dance pieces by composers from different countries, styles, eras.
Waltzes, marches, foxtrots, ragtimes are presented here. Three Preludes by J. Gershwin, "Concert Waltz" by N. Rakov, concert arrangements of marches by I. Dunaevsky. These works will require good technical training, a sense of style and form from the performer, and may be included in the concert repertoire of high school students.
Small-sized plays by A. Tsfasman will introduce students to the work of this composer. His music abounds with interesting rhythms, unusual harmonies, and a rare charm of musical language. These dance pieces (rumba, foxtrot) can be a great piece of music for home music. S. Joplin's ragtimes bring us back to the era of the early twentieth century. These pieces, like Waltz by M.-O. Duran, diversify the repertoire of senior pianists. They can be studied in the classroom (pianistic tasks are solved on the musical material of these pieces, which will further expand the musical horizons of students), as well as performed as concert pieces.
The collection includes works by I. Morozov and S. Tulikov, which present us the work of these composers from the other side.
The famous Waltz by M. Jarre for the film "Doctor Zhivago" is presented with a very "modest" accompaniment. It is proposed to show imagination and creativity to the performer himself and to supplement the melody with accompaniment of his own composition.
The compiler of this volume hopes that any musician will find in this collection of "Musical Pearls" dance pieces to his taste: from the "classics" of Gershwin's preludes and classical arrangements of Dunayevsky's music to Tsfasman's small jazz sketches. This music will bring the performer not only real pleasure, but also great benefit in learning, mastering new musical material that goes beyond program learning.
